To deal or Not to deal: Root and plant Microbiome interactions

Date: Thursday 3rd March
Time: 15:00 PM CET
Location: Virtual (with pre-taped tour of 4PMI Dijon)

Description

This event will decipher the expectation for a better understanding of plant root and microbiome interactions, including tools and methods for root phenotyping and characterization of structural or functional traits associated with plant-microbiome-soil interactions. We will benefit from the experience of Laurent Philippot from INRAE in the field of soil microbial ecology in an opening presentation, followed by examples from SolACE project trials of microbial inoculants and a virtual tour of a platform (4PMI) devoted to this topic. Discussions will take place on both assessment of “key players” and their associated traits of interests (both structural or functional), the validation of their role (e.g. inoculation), and expected uses.

Language: English
Target audience: Biostimulant and microbial inoculant biotech industry, breeding companies; all are welcome
